Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect when you order, why we hold it, who we share it with, and how you ask us to delete it.

Version 1.0Effective 1 September 2026

1.Who We Are and What This Covers

Best Choice Mics sells professional audio equipment from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our messaging channels, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. It applies to everyone who visits this site, whether or not you place an order.

We collect the minimum we need in order to sell you a product and deliver it. We do not sell personal information to anyone, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we do not build profiles of our customers beyond what is needed to fulfil and support their orders.

2.Information We Collect

When you place an order, we ask you for the following, and we use all of it solely to fulfil that order:

  • Your full name — so the rider or courier can confirm who is receiving the goods.
  • Your telephone number — to confirm the order, arrange delivery, and contact you if something goes wrong. This is the field we rely on most; it is also how we locate your order if you lose your invoice.
  • Your delivery address and province — to deliver the goods and to determine whether cash on delivery or advance payment applies.
  • Your email address — optional. If you give it to us we send order confirmations and delivery updates to it.
  • Any note or remark you add to the order — used only to fulfil the request it describes.
  • An optional map pin for your delivery address — either a link you paste in yourself, or the coordinates your browser reports if you tap “use my location”. Addresses in Cambodia are landmarks rather than street numbers, and a pin is what actually gets a rider to your door.

We also keep a record of what you ordered, what you paid, and the history of that order, including any cancellation, return or warranty claim. We need this to honour the warranty in our terms and conditions, and to answer questions about past orders.

The map pin is entirely optional and you can order without it. If you tap “use my location”, your browser will ask your permission first, and we read your position once, at that moment, to fill in the field. We do not track your location in the background, we do not read it at any other time, and declining changes nothing about your order.

We never collect or store your banking credentials. When you pay by KHQR, the payment happens inside your own bank's application. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a transaction reference — never your card number, account password, PIN or one-time passcode.

3.Information Stored in Your Browser

This site keeps a small amount of information in your own browser's local storage, so that the site works as you would expect. It stays on your device, and we cannot read it from our side:

  • Your shopping cart, so that it survives a page reload or a return visit.
  • Our own shop details — address, phone, opening information — cached for an hour so every page does not have to re-request them.

You can clear this at any time through your browser's settings for this site. Clearing it empties your cart but has no other effect, and it does not delete any order you have already placed.

4.Analytics and Advertising

We use two third-party measurement tools on this site, and you should know about both:

  • Vercel Analytics, which counts page views and gives us aggregate traffic figures. It does not use cookies to identify you personally.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which tells us which of our Facebook and Instagram posts lead to visits and orders, and allows us to show our products to people who have visited this site. This tool is operated by Meta and is subject to Meta's own privacy policy.

If you would rather not be measured by these tools, you can block them using your browser's tracking protection, an ad blocker, or your Meta ad preferences. Blocking them does not affect your ability to browse, order or receive support from us in any way.

5.Who We Share Information With

We share your information only with the parties who need it to complete your order, and only the part of it they need:

  • Delivery riders and courier companies receive your name, telephone number, delivery address and, if you gave one, your map pin — it is printed on the delivery label as a QR code so the rider can open it directly. They do not receive your email address or your order history.
  • Banks and payment providers receive what is needed to process a payment or a refund. For a KHQR payment this is handled by your bank and ours; we pass on your order reference, not your personal details.
  • Manufacturers and authorised service centres receive the product serial number and a description of the fault when a warranty claim has to be sent onward. We pass on your contact details only where the service centre needs to contact you directly, and we tell you when that happens.
  • Our own hosting and database providers store this data on our behalf under contract, and are not permitted to use it for any purpose of their own.

We will also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not otherwise give your details to anyone.

6.How Long We Keep It

We keep order records — what was bought, when, for how much, and the history of any cancellation, return or warranty claim — for as long as we are trading. They are our accounting records and our sales history, and they are also what lets us honour a warranty claim months later or answer a question about a purchase you made years ago. We would rather tell you that plainly than name a deletion date we have no intention of keeping.

Where an order was cancelled before dispatch and never delivered, we keep only the minimum record needed to show that the cancellation and any refund were handled correctly. Section 8 explains what we can remove from these records if you ask us to.

7.How We Protect It

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and our order records are held in an access-controlled database that only authorised staff can reach. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and handle support.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever occurs that affects your personal information, we will tell you what happened, what was affected and what we are doing about it, as promptly as we reasonably can.

8.Your Choices

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete your details. Contact us on any of the channels listed on our contact page, and we will respond within seven business days.

There is one limit on deletion that we want to state plainly rather than bury. The order record itself — the items, the amount, the date — is an accounting record, and we keep it as described in section 6; we cannot delete our own books on request. What we can remove is your personal information attached to it: your name, telephone number, email address and delivery details, once the order is complete and the warranty period has passed. Ask us and we will do that, tell you exactly what has been removed, and tell you what remains and why.

If you have given us your email address and would rather not receive order-related email, tell us and we will use telephone or messaging instead. We do not send marketing email.

9.Children

This site is intended for adults buying audio equipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

10.Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as our operations change — for example when we add a new payment method. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date and version number at the top.

For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your information, contact us using the details on our contact page or in the footer of every page.
